After an acne breakout, it is not uncommon for small pigmentation and scars to appear on the skin. These scars can appear whether you have picked at them or left them alone and are due to the inflammation caused by the acne. Facial scars can be a painful and unpleasant thing to live with, but luckily there is a solution to the problem. With the help of our modern treatments here at Estetikcentrum , we can make a big difference to your skin and treat both new, as well as old, scars.

At Estetikcentrum , we have two treatments that we recommend for those who want to treat scars and pigment spots. Both treatments are very effective and give great results on all skin types.

Microneedling - small needle with big effect

Microneedling is a popular and appreciated treatment that gives the skin a kick-start. Using small, thin needles, we create microscopic holes in the skin, causing the body to start the natural healing process. When this happens, the body also produces collagen, which in turn helps to reduce scars and even out the skin structure. The treatment is suitable for those who have superficial acne scars and want to work on structure and radiance, but also for those who do not have time for long recovery.

Most people need 3-6 treatments to achieve optimal results, but what you need will be determined after your skin analysis and consultation. We make sure to customize the treatment and the number of sessions according to your needs, to ensure that you get a skin that feels smoother and with less prominent scars.

CO2 laser - for those who want to treat in depth

If microneedling is that calm friend, our CO2 laser is a real personal trainer that makes sure you get things done. It's a very powerful treatment where a fractional laser works down deep into the skin, stimulating remodeling where the scars actually are. Incredibly effective, especially if you have deep, old scars that refuse to go away. Our skin therapists have extensive experience working with lasers and recommend CO2 for those who have deeper or more stubborn acne scars, want more noticeable results, a little faster and who have no problem with a few days of recovery. This is because the skin may peel a little after treatment.

So what to choose?

What you choose depends entirely on your skin and what you want to achieve, but it's worth remembering that microneedling is a gentler treatment that requires several sessions, but is ideal if you want to work gently and get gradually better results. In addition, no recovery is required and you feel back to normal after a few hours. CO2 lasers are much more powerful, go deeper into the skin and thus produce a greater effect. At the same time, you may need to stay at home for a few days after your treatment and let your skin rest in peace.
