More intensive treatments: For more intensive treatments, such as chemical peels or laser treatments, longer recovery periods may be required between sessions. Our skin therapists can advise you on the recommended intervals based on your specific treatment plan and your skin’s response.
There are side effects and risks associated with facial treatments, although they are usually mild and temporary. The effects can vary depending on the type of treatment you undergo and your individual skin reaction. Here are some common side effects and risks of facial treatments:
Redness and irritation: After a facial treatment, your skin may become red and irritated, especially if the treatment included exfoliation or the use of active ingredients. This is usually temporary and will subside within a few hours to a day.
Dryness and flaking: Certain treatments, particularly chemical peels and exfoliation, can cause dryness and flaking of the skin.
