After your breast surgery at Estetikcentrum Malmö, the healing process begins. Following the recovery instructions is essential to ensure a beautiful final result and safe healing.
The healing process varies from person to person. Generally speaking, it is said that the breasts are fully healed after about 6 months, by which time the tissue has softened and the implants have settled into their final position. However, most of our patients are able to return to work and resume a relatively normal daily routine after just one to two weeks.
Your new breasts need rest and quiet to heal properly. We recommend that you wait at least 6 weeks before resuming strenuous physical activity, such as running or intense strength training.
However, it is important to keep your blood circulating to promote healing. Gentle, short walks are therefore not only permitted but recommended even in the immediate period following the procedure. Always listen to your body’s signals and consult your surgeon during follow-up visits.
Keeping the surgical site clean is important, but you should be careful not to get moisture directly on the scars at first:
Shower: You can shower as usual as early as 24 hours after your breast augmentation.
