Have you ever wondered how fillers actually works? How a simple treatment can plump up your lips, reduce wrinkles or brighten your whole face in just a few minutes? It's not magic, even though we see incredible results ourselves on a daily basis. However, the magic in this case comes in the form of hyaluronic acid.

At Estetikcentrum , we often get curious questions from our customers and we are happy to answer them. One of the most common concerns is what fillers actually contain, whether it is safe and how long the results last. Here we will go through just that, but we will also talk more about why fillers are so appreciated for lip augmentation.

What are fillers and why is hyaluronic acid used?

In simple terms, you could say that fillers is an injection treatment used to restore or add volume to the face. The active ingredient in most fillers is hyaluronic acid, which is also what we use at Estetikcentrum . This substance is found naturally in your body, for example in your skin, joints and eyes. You could call it the body's own moisturizer, as it acts as a moisture magnet and keeps the skin supple and fresh.

As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin decreases, causing us to lose volume and elasticity. This is when lines, furrows and sometimes a tired expression can start to appear. With fillers , we gently fill in these areas again.

What can fillers do for lips?

One of the most common areas to treat is the lips. With fillers we can add volume, define contours or simply moisturize dry lips from within. Everything is done with care and with your face as the starting point, so that the result feels soft, harmonious and personal. You as our customer are involved in the process all the way. Do you want a discreet change? No problem. Do you want to build up a little more volume in your lips over time? We can solve that. The beauty of fillers is that the result can be adjusted to your wishes.

How the treatment works

Treatment always starts with a consultation with us. We'll talk about what you want to achieve and work together to decide what's best for you. We'll look at the proportions of your face, go through the treatment plan and make sure all your questions are answered.

The injection itself rarely takes more than 20-30 minutes, but expect to spend around 60 minutes in the clinic. The filler is injected with a very thin needle or a blunt cannula, depending on the area and the desired result.

After treatment, there may be some swelling or bruising of the lips, but this usually subsides within a few days. The results usually last between 6 and 12 months, but can vary depending on how your body breaks down the hyaluronic acid.

Under-eye Fillers - do they work?

Fillers are great for increasing the volume of the lips and giving more definition, but they can also be used in other areas. Another area where fillers can make a big difference is under the eyes. Many people experience dark circles or deep furrows despite sleeping well. With under-eye fillers , we smooth out the area and give you a more youthful appearance, without losing facial expression or mimicry.
