What exactly is LPG? And why is it so popular? LPG-Massage has become one of the most popular cellulite treatments worldwide, mainly for the purpose of reducing cellulite and relieving muscle pain. In this article, we'll answer the most common questions we get about LPG - how it works, what the benefits are and why it's so popular right now.

What is LPG?

LPG is a mechanical and effective connective tissue massage with vacuum suction that stimulates the body's natural processes and improves both blood and lymphatic circulation, facilitating the removal of waste products and excess fluids from the body.

LPG is a nice muscle relaxing treatment using a machine instead of your hands, and can be compared to an exclusive massage. LPG also has several positive effects on the body:

  • LPG-massage boosts collagen production, firms the skin and reduces cellulite.
  • LPG may also contribute to faster recovery after physical activity.
  • You can also choose to do LPG on your face to reduce swelling.

How does a LPG treatment work?

During the treatment, you wear a soft body stocking to protect your skin and facilitate the movement of the machine.

You lie on a massage bed just like a regular massage, and I, or another member of our team of certified skin therapists, perform the massage with the machine for about 30-60 minutes depending on the type of treatment you choose.

What are the results of LPG?

One of the reasons why LPG has become so popular is because there are so many benefits to the treatment. Not only do you get a nice massage that contributes to recovery after exercise. It is the effect on cellulite that many are looking for. Our customers experience that the skin becomes firmer and that cellulite gradually decreases with regular treatments.

How quickly do you see the results of LPG?

If you are doing the treatment for muscle relaxation, you will feel the results immediately after the treatment. If you do LPG for cellulite reduction and skin tightening, you will start to see noticeable results after 2-3 treatments.

How often should you do LPG?

How often you should do a LPG massage varies depending on what you want to get out of the treatment. We usually recommend a course of 10 treatments with visits twice a week for the best possible results on cellulite and to achieve firmer skin. You can always book a free consultation with us to find out more about whether the treatment is right for you and how many treatments are required to achieve the results you are looking for.

It is also common to do LPG massage after liposuction, and four treatments over a month are usually enough.

What are the benefits of LPG massage?

As mentioned above, there are several benefits of regular LPG massage:

  1. Reduces cellulite: LPG massage is known to both reduce cellulite and improve skin texture.
  2. Post-workout recovery: Many athletes use LPG massage to speed up recovery and reduce muscle tension.
  3. Increased blood circulation: By stimulating blood circulation, LPG massage can help reduce swelling and improve oxygen transport in the body.

Are there risks associated with LPG?

LPG-Massage is a simple, completely non-invasive treatment and therefore poses no immediate risks. However, you should not do LPG if you are pregnant, have an ongoing infection or inflammation in your body, are taking blood-thinning medication, have cancer or a blood disorder. This is simply because it has not been tested and ruled out that LPG is okay to do in these cases.
