The cause of age spots - we sort it out!
There are several reasons why skin pigmentation can change, but as mentioned earlier, the sun's rays are the most common cause. Even if you have been diligent about sun protection in recent years, old sun damage may lie dormant in the skin and only show up later in life.
Other common causes are ageing, as the skin produces melanin unevenly as we get older, and hormonal changes, for example during pregnancy or when using contraceptives. Inflammation and scars caused by acne and skin damage can also leave small marks, but there are solutions.
How Alma Rejuve works - our CO2 laser treatment
Alma Rejuve is a treatment that you will find here at Estetikcentrum and which combines different types of lasers to treat several different types of skin problems at the same time. It is an IPL (intense pulsed light) laser that works both deeply and gently and where the light seeks out the pigment in the skin, breaks it down and the body then takes care of the remains naturally. Afterwards, your skin may be a little red and hot, but this will pass quickly and you can usually go back to your everyday life straight away.
Differences between CO2 treatment and Alma Rejuve
We are often asked about the difference between Alma Rejuve and CO2 laser treatment. In simple terms, CO2 laser is a more powerful fractional laser that works on the surface of the skin and deeper down and is used for scars, deep wrinkles or difficult skin structure.
Alma Rejuve is gentler and is ideal for age spots, sun damage and superficial vessels. After a few days, you will notice that the spots start to fade. Sometimes several treatments are needed, depending on skin type and the depth of the spots. But after just one treatment, many people find that their skin looks clearer and smoother.
