Do you find that your face shows signs of ageing? As we get older, our skin loses its elasticity and signs of ageing such as wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin start to appear. One of our most popular treatments at Estetikcentrum is fractional CO2 laser, which is a modern technique that allows you to rejuvenate your skin from the inside out. We call it magic, because it has the ability to bring the body's own healing power to life.
Facial lasers may sound a bit scary to many, but the truth is that this treatment is gentle and suitable for most skin types. We can explain it as thin, focused laser beams creating tiny channels in the skin surface. They are so small that we can call them microscopic. By causing this controlled damage to the skin, the body's own healing process can be activated, which in turn leads to the skin stimulating and repairing itself. As this happens, the body's production of collagen and elastin increases, resulting in a firmer and smoother skin texture.
When is CO2 laser suitable?
CO2 laser is a very effective treatment that can be used to treat several different things. It is particularly effective against scars, including both acne scars and other types of scar tissue. It is also excellent for treating fine lines, uneven pigmentation, stretch marks and signs of sun damage. Many people choose to treat the face, but we can also help you treat the neck, décolletage or hands.
What we particularly like about our CO2 laser is that the effect can often be seen after just one treatment. However, in some cases, several treatments may be required to get the results you want. This is especially true for very deep scarring or deep wrinkles. When you come to us for your consultation, we will talk through your needs together and set up a plan that suits you.
How it works at Estetikcentrum
Before the treatment, you will meet one of our skilled and experienced skin therapists who will make a thorough assessment of your skin. The treatment takes about 30 minutes to complete and you will be given the option of anesthesia if you are concerned about discomfort. Afterwards, you can expect some redness and swelling, a bit like after a sunburn, but this often goes away in a few days.
Your skin will gradually start to regenerate and you may notice that it feels smoother, clearer and more vibrant. It's a treatment for those who want noticeable results, but without surgery or a long recovery time.
Is laser treatment right for you?
We are often asked about the difference between CO2 laser and other treatments. All are very effective methods of skin rejuvenation and are available here with us. However, they work in different ways and thus suit different situations and skin problems. While CO2 laser treats the surface layer of the skin and improves structure and texture.
Do both sound like good options for you? The good thing is that these treatments don't have to be mutually exclusive, but can actually complement each other very well. We can help you find the right combination based on your needs and skin type. Contact us at Estetikcentrum in Malmö and we will help you get skin that you can be proud of!
