Also known as microneedling, the Dermaroller is a tool that produces enchanting results. By puncturing the skin with tiny needles, it increases the body's natural production of collagen and elastin. The technique rejuvenates the facial skin, making it more supple and giving it a beautiful glow.
In dermaroller/microneedling treatment, we go over the skin and the machine penetrates the skin with microscopic needles. These needles create channels in the skin called a controlled micro-injury. This causes the body to produce new collagen and elastin to repair the skin. When you do a dermaroller treatment, new capillaries are formed which leads to the reduction of scars and healing of the skin which in turn results in improved texture, more moisture, better radiance and increased elasticity.
The Dermaroller / microneedling treatment needs to be repeated several times for the best possible results, but already after the first treatment you will see a marked improvement in the skin. Most of our treatments are relatively painless, but should you wish, there is the option of a numbing cream before your treatment.
After treatment with the Dermaroller, you may experience slight burning, irritation and reddening of the skin. After a few hours this has subsided and the redness should have completely disappeared after 3 days. After recovery, you will experience a more even texture and color of the skin and the results are very long lasting.
It is always a good idea to start with a consultation. The skin therapist will look at your skin and see which needle length is suitable for your skin type and how many treatments you might need to achieve the desired results.
During the treatment, the skin therapist goes over the face with the microneedling machine, whose small and sterile micro-needles create micro-injuries in the skin tissue. The speed of the needles is between 50-150 times per second and have a depth of between 0.5-2 mm. The speed and depth of the needle is adjusted according to how thin your skin is and the area being treated.
The dermaroller releases red blood cells in the tissue and the skin's natural defense perceives this as damage and starts the natural healing process, the production of collagen increases significantly after the treatment.

Microneedling can be repeated every four to six weeks as needed. Boosting collagen production usually requires three treatments, while reducing scars often requires more treatments. There should always be four to six weeks between treatments.
