After giving birth to three children, Åsa no longer felt comfortable in her body. She made an appointment with Estetikcentrum and decided to have a tummy tuck.
No regrets for a second
"I don't regret it for a second", says Åsa and continues: "It's the best thing I've done for me and my well-being".
It has now been over a year since the operation, and Åsa is happy with her results. It has given her better self-esteem and she feels better about herself than she did before the operation.
Åsa explains that it can be difficult for some people to understand why you want to have surgery, and that she was often told that she was fine the way she was, but it didn't feel that way to her. She was the one who didn't like her reflection, and she wanted a change for herself.
Extra skin on your belly after three pregnancies
After her third pregnancy - where the baby was born by caesarean section - skin and extra fat on her belly that hadn't been there before was hanging down over her incisions. This made Åsa feel uncomfortable and she was reluctant to show herself to others.
"I just felt comfortable wearing big, baggy clothes that hid my body," says Åsa. "It didn't matter how much I exercised, I couldn't get the 'bulge' out from under my clothes."
Åsa's partner often told her that she was beautiful just the way she was, but if she was so unhappy with her own appearance, why not do something about it? That's when Åsa realized that there is actually something you can do - a tummy tuck. She followed her heart and booked a consultation at Estetikcentrum, which she found on the recommendation of a friend.
Nervous before but everything went well
Åsa remembers feeling nervous before the consultation - having to undress in front of a person who would scrutinize her. But it went well and she felt confident after her first consultation.
"Everything was professional, from start to finish. The pleasant treatment, understanding and knowledge. The surgeon's competence and long experience made me feel at ease and I chose to book my surgery there and then".
Two months ago, Åsa underwent the operation and everything went well. The pain went away after just one week, and after two to three weeks you are ready to return to your everyday life.
"I recovered quickly, but I was careful to train heavily and avoided training the abdominal muscles at the beginning".

After the surgery, Åsa had continuous contact with the clinic. If she had any concerns, she could call and ask for advice whenever she wanted. She was also scheduled for several return visits to ensure that the healing was going well.
"It felt safe," says Åsa. "I met the nurses who examined me and saw that everything was healing properly."
For Åsa, the tummy tuck surgery has meant a lot for her mental health. Today, she loves her body and thanks herself for taking the plunge and having the surgery.
"You should ignore what others think and feel, and listen to yourself and how you feel. Do what feels right inside," she says. "Today I look in the mirror and like what I see, and I can buy nice clothes that I feel comfortable in."
