Do you think your ears are a bit too prominent? Maybe you think about them every time you take a photo or when your hair blows back on a windy day? Having protruding ears is more common than you might think and is usually due to genetic factors where we inherit many of our traits from our parents.

However, feeling uncomfortable with your appearance is not fun and something that we at Estetikcentrum fully understand. At the clinic, we therefore offer professionally performed otoplasty that allows you to get a more balanced shape of the ears, with nicer proportions and that feels more like you.

Surgery for protruding ears at Estetikcentrum

Having surgery to remove your ears can feel like a big decision. It is not uncommon to be a little nervous and have many questions and concerns. Our ear surgeries are always performed by trained and highly skilled surgeons with many years of experience in the field.

Thanks to modern technology and experienced hands, we can adjust the ears by shaping and angling them closer to the head. The incision is usually placed behind the ear, allowing the cartilage to be shaped and the skin to be gently opened up. Then everything is stitched back so that the position of the ear is more harmonious with your face.

The location of the incision at the back of the ear makes it very inconspicuous, and the scars fade over time. The surgery takes about an hour and can be done under local or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the adjustment and what feels best for you.

Results and recovery

After the operation, it is important that you take it easy and rest. For the first week, you will wear a bandage around your head to stabilize your ears in their new position. You will then need to wear headbands, mainly at night, for several weeks to protect your ears and prevent them from 'falling' back. For a few weeks, your ears may be sore, a little swollen and feel unaccustomed, but this is completely normal and will heal over time.

We understand that you want to see the results as quickly as possible, but it usually takes a little time before you see the big difference. Once the swelling subsides, you'll notice ears that are closer to your head and a silhouette that feels more natural.
