Forehead lift at Estetikcentrum - how it works

Most people have heard the term 'brow lift' at some point, but not everyone knows what it actually means in practice. In simple terms, a brow lift is a surgical procedure that tightens the skin in the upper part of the face. This reduces visible signs of ageing such as worry lines between the eyebrows and deeper creases in the forehead. It also often gives a natural lift to the eyebrows, which can really open up the eyes.

So how does it work? During the operation, the surgeon makes an incision in the hairline. Sometimes just at the edge and sometimes a little inside. The skin is then removed from the forehead down to the eyebrows. If necessary, we split some of the forehead muscles to get a smoother result. The skin is then pulled upwards, the excess skin is removed and the incision is sutured again. It may sound a little unpleasant when you describe it, but the end result is a smoother forehead and a facial expression that looks more rested and harmonious.

After surgery - what to consider?

Our patients always receive the best possible care and are allowed to rest in peace and quiet in the recovery room. However, it is important to remember that a surgical procedure almost always involves swelling and soreness. After the procedure, you will be given a dressing around your head to help reduce swelling and protect the incision. Of course, our surgical nurse will give you clear instructions on how long it should stay in place and what painkillers you can take.
