What to consider before sclerosing?

All injection treatments at Estetikcentrum require you to undergo a consultation. This is for your safety and for the best possible results. We review your symptoms and your health status.

It is best if you are not tanned/sunburned, the vessels are then more difficult to access as they are less visible.

What should I think about after my sclerotherapy?

After sclerosing is recommended:

Resting from exercise for two to three days after your sclerotherapy session
Do not expose the treated surface to the sun for at least two weeks after sclerosing as this may cause discoloration of the skin.
After treatment of larger vessels, you may experience soreness for a while after treatment.
Apply a pressure bandage to the treated area for the first 24 hours after treatment.
Use support socks in the first week
Veins may become more prominent immediately after treatment
Usually the color varies from red, to blue, then brown and finally fades within 6-8 weeks.
