Dr. Rikke Bredgaard

Dr. Rikke Bredgaard is a passionate plastic surgeon with many years of experience. With a strong commitment to helping women in particular to a better quality of life. She specializes in the changes that the female body naturally undergoes during life, such as pregnancies, breastfeeding, weight changes, aging, as well as due to congenital malformations, diseases or previous surgery.

Dr. Bredgaard is known for her empathy and good patient care, and she prioritizes a safe and supportive atmosphere. In order for the patient to have an individual experience designed around each woman's unique wishes by creating the best possible conditions.

Dr. Bredgaard performs her work with a high level of professionalism and expertise, with great attention to detail and surgical accuracy. She always strives for a precise, aesthetic and natural result that harmonizes with the patient's own proportions.

Rikke Bredgaard became a doctor in 2000 and a specialist in plastic surgery in 2013. She has many years of experience as a consultant at Rigshospitalet and Herlev Hospital in Copenhagen. She is also responsible for the treatment of women with various types of breast problems. Among other things, Rikke performs many types of advanced breast reconstructions for breast cancer patients and for younger women with a genetically high risk of developing breast cancer or with congenital breast malformations. She also trains colleagues and doctors in the same field.

Dr. Bredgaard is also a specialist in cosmetic surgery through, among other things, a fellowship at the recognized clinic "Amalieklinikken" in Copenhagen, where she has been attached since 2019.

Dr. Bredgaard constantly strives to develop, disseminate and refine her plastic surgery techniques and theoretical knowledge - for the benefit of her patients. She has participated in numerous plastic surgery congresses, master classes and study visits around the world. Rikke has co-authored many articles in national and international journals, especially on different types of breast surgery, breast implants and fat grafting. Rikke also has extensive teaching experience and has for several years been responsible for the training of junior doctors at the plastic surgery department at Herlev Hospital.

Rikke Bredgaard is a member of the General Danish Medical Association, the Danish Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Danish Society for Cosmetic Plastic Surgery.
