Under din konsultation kommer din kirurg att göra olika mätningar av din kropp, inklusive bröstens bredd, höjd och storlek. De flesta av våra patienter väljer en storlek som ger ett naturligt intryck, men vad som är rätt storlek för dig beror helt på vad du vill få ut av operationen.
De runda implantaten är vanligast, då de ger ett fylligare resultat. De droppformade implantaten anpassar sig mer efter bröstens form och ger ett mer naturligt intryck. Motiva kallar sina anatomiska implantat för ”Egonomix” och Mentor har döpt sina till CPGTM.
Hur lång tid läkningen kommer att ta är mycket individuellt. Man brukar säga att brösten är helt färdigläkta 6 månader efter operationen. Redan efter bara några veckor kan dock de allra flesta återgå till en relativt vanlig vardag.
Dina nya bröst behöver tid att läka och därför bör du vänta minst 6 veckor med tyngre fysisk aktivitet, såsom styrketräning eller löpning. Det är dock viktigt att du håller igång blodcirkulationen i kroppen, eftersom detta påskyndar läkningen. Att ta långsamma och lugna promenader under de första veckorna är därför helt okej.
Det kan kännas lockande att sjunka ner i ett varmt bad efter en bröstförstoring, men att bada ökar risken för infektioner och försämrar läkningen av dina ärr, så försök undvika det till en början.
Du kan duscha som vanligt redan 24 timmar efter ditt ingrepp. Vill du bada bör du dock vänta minst 4 veckor för att ärren ska få läka riktigt ordentligt.
En av de främsta fördelarna med en bröstförstoring är att du kan återskapa bröstens form med hjälp av implantat.
Ålder, graviditet och viktnedgång kan förändra bröstens form och många återfår aldrig den ursprungliga formen på naturlig väg.
Bröstimplantat kan både fylla ut och lyfta brösten. Beroende på vilka implantat som används kan du själv välja om du vill ha mer runda bröst, anatomiska droppformade bröst eller fördjupa bröstens klyfta.
Den moderna teknologin och utvecklingen inom plastikkirurgi har även säkerställt mer trygga och mindre riskfyllda operationer.
Att genomgå ett kirurgiskt ingrepp är aldrig helt riskfritt. Komplikationer som kapselbildning och infektioner kan förekomma efter en bröstförstoring och du kan också uppleva svullnad, blåmärken och svårigheter att röra dig som vanligt. De sistnämnda är dock naturliga biverkningar efter en bröstförstoring och går vanligtvis över av sig själv.
Observera att alla former av kapselbildning inte kräver kirurgiska åtgärder. Det är endast när det uppstår en kapselkontraktur med en förtjockad bindvävshinna som implantatet kan behöva tas ut och kapseln avlägsnas.
