CO2 laser or fractional laser is a laser treatment for skin rejuvenation and improved skin texture. The treatment reduces pigmentation, fine lines, acne scars, wrinkles and deep folds. It also minimizes stretch marks so you get fresh and beautiful skin. CO2 laser stimulates the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin, corrects skin irregularities and repairs sagging, loose skin areas with uneven skin tone, scars and wrinkles.
First, we offer a consultation where we go over your expectations and wishes. Our skin therapists assess your skin to assess your suitability for the treatment and any risks and side effects.
Afterwards, your skin may become red and warm, like when you have been in the sun for a little too long. A slight swelling in the first few days after a laser treatment is common. The side effects usually disappear after a week. You can return to work and social activities immediately after your treatment, but you usually want to wait a few days. You can wear makeup and shave the treated area, it does not affect healing or results. However, you should be very careful and avoid the sun and use SPF 50 in the first few weeks after treatment. Also avoid skin care that contains retinol or acid until the skin has recovered.
