Fillers are substances that are injected into the skin to fill in wrinkles, lines, or volume loss on the face or other parts of the body. They can be made of various materials, such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, or synthetic polymers.
Sometimes people may want to remove fillers if they are no longer satisfied with the results, experience side effects, or if they have become uneven or lumpy.
Mainly, hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm or Restylane, can be removed using Hyalyse.
Other types of fillers, such as permanent or semi-permanent fillers, can be more difficult to remove and require different techniques.
Typically, the enzyme Hyalase is used to break down fillers made from hyaluronic acid. The enzyme is injected into the area where the fillers are located and breaks them down.
You can do a small touch-up with fillers two weeks after the treatment.
Afterwards, fillers are usually added after a number of months, depending on the type of filler used and the area treated.
To maintain a long-lasting result, refills may need to be done anywhere from 3 to 18 months after treatment, depending on the product and area.
