When you book a consultation at Estetikcentrum, you will have an appointment with both the surgeon who will perform the surgery, and with our coordinator who can explain the logistical aspects of the process. This is your chance to visit the clinic and ask all your questions to our knowledgeable team.
It is important to meet the surgeon before the procedure, both to get a feel for the clinic, and to feel the chemistry between you and the doctor who will operate on you. You can have your consultation either at the clinic in central Malmö or online, if you cannot or do not want to travel to Malmö. Depending on the operation, the consultation takes 30-45 minutes.
When you decide to have your surgery with us at Estetikcentrum, you will be assigned a contact person. You can reach your contact person 24/7 if you have any questions or concerns - before or after the surgery. Your safety is the most important thing to us, and we want you to feel 100% safe with us at Estetikcentrum. That's why we want you to be able to reach us whenever you need it.
Preparations for surgery may include abstaining from alcohol, smoking, and certain foods, fasting for a certain period of time, or filling out paperwork that is necessary for your safety. Our surgical team will be in touch with you to ensure you have all the information you need before surgery. And if you have any questions, you can reach out to your contact person.
When you come to us on the day of your surgery, you will be greeted by our nurses. They will go through all the preparations with you and lead you to the operating room. Our experienced, friendly anesthesiologist makes all our patients feel calm, and then you wake up in our recovery room, and the surgery is complete.
A nurse will be by your side the entire time you are under anesthesia, right up until you wake up, when you are given a tray of food in our comfortable recovery room. You will be given the time you need to rest before being visited by the doctor to make sure everything went as expected. You will then be given the all-clear to go home when you feel ready.
After most surgeries, you can go home the same day, but for some major surgeries, we want you to stay overnight so we can ensure that you are completely safe.
The return visit is to make sure that everything is healing properly, that you are feeling well, and that the result is what you and we expected. If any complications have arisen, we will give you everything you need to recover in the best way.
Since recovery takes time, it can take weeks or even months before the final result is fully visible, which is why we offer free follow-up visits until the final follow-up visit.
