We remove birthmarks and skin lesions with surgical precision under local anesthesia. The procedure involves cutting away the lesion, after which the area is either scraped clean or sewn together with very fine stitches. For your safety, we also offer sedatives and painkillers if necessary.
Before the procedure, the skin is washed clean with Descutan wash, and in some cases we also provide infection prevention treatment. As the procedure is uncomplicated, you do not need to stay overnight at the clinic, and can usually return to everyday life and your work immediately afterwards.

Birthmarks can be flat or raised from the skin. Birthmarks that are raised from the skin are called liver spots. These are brown and round in shape. New pigmented birthmarks and liver spots appear well into adulthood.
Some individuals are prone to developing thick or raised scars (called hypertrophic scars or keloids). To improve scarring in these cases, we can offer complementary treatments such as cortisone injections, microneedling or in some cases additional surgery to optimize the outcome.
