This is a treatment that has quickly become popular with us at Estetikcentrum in Malmö and it's easy to see why. To begin with, it is a non-surgical treatment that does not require a long recovery and still gives the upper lip a more prominent appearance, without adding volume with fillers. Instead, we work with the muscle relaxant botulinum toxin type A, better known as botox. This way, we can soften the muscle that pulls down the upper lip and give you a lip that looks fuller and more plump.
How Lipflip works with botox
Botox has long been used in both aesthetic and medical care to temporarily reduce muscle activity. In a Lip flip Botox treatment involves injecting very small amounts into the muscles around the upper lip, which causes the lip to relax and take on a natural outward curve. It is a subtle change, but often with great effect.
The biggest difference from fillers is that Lip flip does not add volume, but instead changes the angle and expression of the lip. This makes it especially popular with those who want a softer, more subtle result or want to test how it feels before potentially trying fillers. The treatment only takes about 10-20 minutes and the injection itself is usually over in under a minute. We use a thin needle and offer anesthetic ointment if you wish. The result develops gradually over about a week and usually lasts for about 3 months.

Before a treatment at our clinic, we always make an individual assessment. You will meet with one of our skilled injection nurses and together you will go through your expectations, facial muscles and general health. No treatments at Estetikcentrum take place without a proper consultation and of course you always have at least 48 hours to think about it. After the treatment, you can go straight back to everyday life, but please avoid exercise, heat and alcohol for the first day.
