It's easy to get a little worried when you discover spots on your skin, especially if they change or appear suddenly. The truth is that the vast majority of pigment spots are completely harmless and can even be removed. At Estetikcentrum in Malmö, we meet many people who want to find out what causes the spots and whether they can be treated.

To quickly answer one of the questions, yes – pigment spots can be treated and we usually recommend our Alma Rejuve for work. However, it is important to always check for liver spots or pigment changes before a treatment. Here we tell you more!

When are stains something to look out for?

If a spot is itchy, bleeding or changing shape rapidly, it is important to have it assessed by a doctor before proceeding with any aesthetic treatment. If the spots are merely cosmetic, such as age spots, sun spots or hormonal pigment, there is safe and gentle help available.

Alma Rejuve – laser treatment with light

To avoid your skin becoming dry again, it's important to have a simple (but consistent) skincare routine that Now for the fun part! So, one of our most popular treatments for pigmentation changes is called Alma Rejuve. It is a type of IPL laser that sends pulses of light into the skin and breaks down excess pigment. The light seeks out dark areas and the body does the rest of the work, which means that the spots fade, the skin is smoothed and you get your glow back.

The treatment is superficial and is suitable for, among other things:

  • Sun damage
  • Age spots
  • Freckles
  • Rosacea and superficial blood vessels

The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes and is always performed by our trained and certified skin therapists. You may feel a slight tingling sensation during the treatment, but it is not painful and rarely requires anesthesia. Afterwards, the skin is a little red and slightly swollen, but this quickly subsides and is common.

Fast results after just one treatment

The spots that have been treated will darken at first, but after a few days they will start to peel off. The skin underneath is often smoother, clearer and feels more alive. For best results, we recommend a course of several treatments, but you will usually see a clear difference after the first time. Here at our clinic, you will receive help from therapists who use advanced technology with great precision and who ensure that you are in safe hands from start to finish. Come to us at Estetikcentrum in Malmö for a professional skin analysis and treatment!
